Game progress

Wordwild saves your explorer name, preferences, guesses, completed puzzles, rewards, and daily records in your browser’s local storage. Word ranking runs on your device. Wordwild’s game code does not upload your guesses, saved puzzles, or explorer name to an account service. Hosting services receive ordinary web requests, including your IP address, when delivering the site.

You can export a backup, import a backup, or reset game progress in Settings. Clearing your browser’s site data removes local progress. The installed web game caches game files for offline play. The portable single-file edition runs without online advertising.

Optional and between-stage advertising

The Android edition can use Google AdMob, and the online edition can use Google AdSense H5 Games Ads. Ad opportunities occur at selected transitions after completed journey stages. You can also choose a rewarded ad for 10 bonus gems, once per puzzle. Skipping a rewarded ad does not take away earned stage rewards or prevent you from playing.

When advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may collect IP addresses, device and browser information, cookies or similar identifiers, and information about ad interactions to deliver, personalize, prevent fraud in, and measure advertising. Our ad requests identify the placement type, not your guesses or explorer profile. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google’s privacy policy.

Privacy choices

When live advertising is configured, Google’s User Messaging Platform or another certified consent provider manages applicable choices. Wordwild requests consent information before requesting Android ads and waits for a resolved consent signal before loading online advertising. Unresolved or declined consent leaves gameplay available. A Global Privacy Control signal disables online-edition ad requests.

Use the game’s “Ad privacy choices” link to review applicable choices. On Android you can also reset or delete the advertising ID in system privacy settings. You can manage Google preferences in My Ad Center. Revoking permission stops subsequent Wordwild ad requests where required; it does not undo data already processed by an ad provider.

Ad limits and rewards

Wordwild stores recent ad timing and newly completed stage identifiers locally to space out ad opportunities. A bonus-claimed flag is stored with each rewarded puzzle in your saved game so reopening a result does not grant the same reward again. These records are not sent to a Wordwild analytics server.

Availability

Ads need an internet connection and may not be available for every player or game session. The offline game, free clues, normal stage rewards, and unlimited guesses remain available independently of ads.
